Since May 2018, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the new Federal Data Protection Act have been in force, which oblige most companies to appoint a data protection officer at the supervisory authority. In addition, companies that do not have a branch in the EU but offer goods or services to persons in the Union are obliged to appoint an EU representative (Art. 27 GDPR).
On behalf of clients, we act as data protection officers or EU representatives.
Our services in the field of data protection include in particular
- General advice on GDPR issues (contract processing agreements, data protection impact assessment etc.)
- Assuming the function of external data protection officer
- Assuming the function of EU representative (Art. 27 GDPR)
